Or is it not that exact?
My father knows little about his genetic history because his father was adopted and never knew his mother that well.
My mothers side is also hard to keep track of as she cut off of contact with most of them years ago.

Considering the corruption going on and being ignored by adoptive parents, do you think it would help stop the unethical/criminal activities?
Do you think that adoptive parents as well need make sure that they are not buying a baby, especially in countries like Guatemala where it got out of control? Many of the organisations there had fake birth mothers meet adoptive parents.

I've heard a couple of times lately about places were you can send a DNA sample and they will analyze it and then they can tell you a lot about your ancestory. Can you recommend a reputable place to send mine? Also, what is a reasonable price for this service?

My mother told me years ago that her father was full blood cherokee indian. She never knew his name or ever met him. Her mother died several years ago. Grandmother was always ashamed of her indiscretion and would never talk about it to anyone. Mother grew up near Telequah, Oklahoma. I would like to verify my ethnicity. Can anyone help me?

:Classic story, broke up, got back together, got pregnant. Was fully convinced she was his, but I was in a 4 month relationship prior to reconciling...anyway, we split up a while back and I am waiting for a court date on Child Support for my two kids, my son is 100% his, so I still have to pursue that. I do not want the biological father to ever know or even be in our lives, my fiance is her nonbiological father, she calls him daddy.
What steps do I take from here? Who do I contact to stop the court from purusing child support on him for just ONE of the children, will they even do that?
How do I change the name on the birth certificate? If I want to give her my fiances last name instead of mine, does he have to legally adopt her? What is THAT process?
This is all overwhelming for me. Please give honest and nonjudgemental answers. Thank you.

I see a lot of breeders doing this along with the health tests. I tried to look up the information about it, but its kind of unclear.
Can someone explain this better to me?
Basset: Would testing for Thrombopathia still be under the DNA testing part or would that just be a health test?

I was contemplating taking the african american ancestry dna test and I was wondering if it was a valid way to trace your heritage. People are so crooked now a days and well....I just don't want to end up wasting 0 on bogus results. I really feel the need to know more about my ancestors and exactly where they originated. Please help, if you can. Thanks.
