		<description>It depends on the data available for comparison, but probably not.  If you have potential parents to compare to, it can determine whether or not they are the actual parents.  But in that case it is confirming the lineage rather than determining it.  Unless there is both a huge wealth of information and and virtually unlimited time and resources you will not be able to determine the lineage just from the DNA profile.  Besides the resources required, the lab would need records of all possible parents (i.e. all purebred arabians).  Given that we can&#039;t do it for people, it&#039;s unlikley that you can determine the lingeage of your horse based on it&#039;s DNA profile.

And DNA an acronym should be capitalized.</description>

Are your horse&#039;s sire and dam registered?  My guess is that the Registry won&#039;t do it for just anyone, you would probably need a pretty compelling reason to want to do it.</description>
