Can someone give me some info on dog DNA testing to find out the breed?

We have a mutt and were curious in finding out what breeds she is made up of. I've heard of sending your dogs DNA to places to find out what they're made up of. I was wondering if someone can recommend a good place to do this, that's affordable and accurate. Has anyone else done this, and if so, what kind of results did you get?

Its overpriced and WORTHLESS.
A friend of mine works for a vet. When the sales representative came through he offered a free test as a demonstration. The test subject was a Champion Samoyed….
the DNA results came back showing….
Siberian Husky/Shetland Sheepdog Mix
worthless waste of time and money
The ONLY time I would recommend it is if I needed to EXCLUDE a breed (ie Pitbull) for insurance or housing purposes if they didn’t allow that breed… and even then it might be dicey.
Sure can…..an utterly useless fraud, complete waste of money & scam.
Mutts are mutts;period.
I googled it once, all I remember is that it was expensive.
Ask your vet, some do it in their office.
ADD- and I saw a video someone posted about their 100% purebred AmStaff, with AKC registration…. It came back as mostly border collie, with terrier and bulldog.
It is extremely expensive, what possible difference does it make what breed your dog is, as long as you love her.
I work at a large vet clinic and we get this question all the time. Having done over 100 dogs using these tests I would check out DNA Diagnostics Center. http://www.vetdnacenter.com We have found them to be very accurate and reasonably priced at $60…and they just need a cheek swab sample so you can collect the sample yourself at home.
