o.k. having just read a question re. registering a dog w/o paperwork, this came to mind...
now that you can have your dog's DNA tested do you think that will ever be allowed (10-15 yrs. from now) to get papers on a dog? don't really care. just after the ranting, thought i would throw it out there.

No, I don’t think they will until those tests are a lot more reliable. Right now they are still so inaccurate.
The only reason to have "papers" is to show your dog or breed dogs to show. The majority of dogs in this country do not ever need papers. In addition, the breeders that lie on the paperwork is very common and the Clubs have no good way to verify what they put in the paperwork, so it is all just a way to make more money off of puppies.
Nope – the parents STILL have to be registered and you need the blue slip individual registration papers from the breeder.
The only thing DNA test does is verify what the dog is.
no,those DNA breed tests are bogus,I heard about a guy who tested his pure bred registered champion dog,and the results came back as some kind of mix breed….
NO!
That stupid gimmick is FAKE FRAUD CON & SCAM!!!!!
CSI is FICTION!!!!
*&* real registries register KNOWN PUREBREDS-=PERIOD!
My husband and I tested our dog just for fun. While I agree with Erika. The test need to be a lot more reliable. The only way to do that is to keep adding DNA to the Dog DNA databases. We had so much fun finding out what Hank was made up of. We used the Canine Heritage™ XL test they test for over 100 different breeds. I don’t know what to say to the Real Deal CowGril about the testing. There are breeds that aren’t identifiable and also there are “pure breeds” that are mixes of other pure breeds. It is possible that what ever breed you tested wasn’t able to be identified but that they were able to identify the breeds that contributed to that line.
Sorry I just did a lot of research before spending my money on the and was so thrilled to find out what was part of Hank.
