Hypothesis: My DNA fingerprinting technique creates a signature of an individual that’s unique enough that given 100 individuals’ DNA, I’d be able to identify only the individual whose DNA was given 99.9% of the time; it would identify one or more incorrect individuals 0.001% of the time; and that it would identify no individual 100.0 – 99.9 – .001 = .0999% of the time.
Something like that.
By the way, when you’re asking for help, it might be better to be a little more polite, instead of threatening answerers with deletion. Don’t threaten, just do.
