MY HUSBAND AND I ARE STILL SEEING EACH OTHER BUT WE ARE SEPARATED. WE JUST HAVE A BABY AND HE'S STILL LIVING WITH HIS FRIEND. HE WANT A DNA TEST ON THE BABY BUT DON'T WANT HIS TO KNOW ABOUT,SO HE WANT TO DO A HOME TEST AND I WANT TO DO THE RIGTH THING BY GOING TO THE COURT HOUSE TO DO THE TEST AND CHILD SUPPORT BUT HE DON'T WANT THAT EITHER. WHICH ONE SHOULD I TAKE. TO ME HE IS TRYING TO HIDE FROM ALL THIS.

I file child support and the court send me a letter to do the dna test on my own. I do not know where I have to go, I call the court house and they told me that they are not lawyer so can't answer that question..... unfortunally i can't affort a lawyer.
Anybody has an idea.

my partner got a ltr from the state of il saying he owes child support but hasnt ever proven he is the dad. who has to pay for paternity testing??Is that something that we have to have up front??

:Classic story, broke up, got back together, got pregnant. Was fully convinced she was his, but I was in a 4 month relationship prior to reconciling...anyway, we split up a while back and I am waiting for a court date on Child Support for my two kids, my son is 100% his, so I still have to pursue that. I do not want the biological father to ever know or even be in our lives, my fiance is her nonbiological father, she calls him daddy.

What steps do I take from here? Who do I contact to stop the court from purusing child support on him for just ONE of the children, will they even do that?
How do I change the name on the birth certificate? If I want to give her my fiances last name instead of mine, does he have to legally adopt her? What is THAT process?

This is all overwhelming for me. Please give honest and nonjudgemental answers. Thank you.

Has anyone use those home DNA test? ?

My son is 9 months old and i am starting to have doubts if i am the father. When he was born i didn't think that he looked like me, but everybody kept saying that he had my nose even my mother. so i just believed it. as he is getting older more and more people are saying that he doesn't look like me at all. his nose is starting to curve downward and neither me or the mothers does. When the mother of my child found out that she was pregnant she told me that she had slept with another man and it could be his. I have never seen him and i don't know if the child is mine. well now me and the mother are not together and i really can't stand her. she is always talking about what I'm not doing for my child. And i know that it is so much more i would love to do for him I'm just not able to. But i do pick him up to spend time with me, I do buy him things and i am a active father. I told her to just hit me for child support but she refuses to. my mother says it because its a possibility that the baby isn't mine. now i really don't want to be on child support; i feel i am being a good father but it just makes me wonder why she refuses to. We could get a DNA test now and the state would pay for it but i know that if the results come back that he is mine them h'm going to have to pay child support plus back child support and i'm struggling now with out the state garnishing my wadges. My mother was telling me about a home DNA test that i could get from Walgreen's and i read about it and it seems to get some good results. I just want to know if any one has used it that can tell me how was their experience, and i need to know if they will need a sample from all three parties (me my baby's mother, and our son). I need to know because i really don't even want her to know that i am getting the test. Please let me know what happened if you tried one of these test.

My son just found out that his ex began telling everyone that the baby she is carrying is his, but my son stopped being intimate with her two wks before she began sleeping with her current boyfriend, who's she been having unprotected sex with............. yet she is determined to say baby belongs to my son. I want to prove by dna testing that the baby is not my son's, cause I don't want my son having to pay child support for a child he didn't have.

The father of my child and I were both required to appear for dna testing at the Child Support building to establish paternity for our child.I appeared with the baby, however he did not appear.
What happens from here?
the lab staff did collect the dna samples from the baby and I
